What You Will Be Doing
As a Lead Data Scientist, you will be responsible for overseeing the Expert Services (ES) and Research & Development (R&D) functions within a cutting-edge technology company focused on empowering critical infrastructure with Federated Learning Edge AI. Collaborating closely with the Lead Product Manager and Lead Product Architect, you will drive applied research into product features, prototype algorithms, and Data Science workflows. Your role will also involve customer entablements to ensure successful product adoption and the development of innovative product features through customer feedback and proof-of-concept evaluations. Engaging with customers to define suitable Data Science strategies and partnering with Product and Sales teams to plan optimal solutions will be key aspects of your role.
What the Company Hiring is Looking For
The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced Lead Data Scientist with a solid educational background in science, mathematics, or engineering. You must possess a deep understanding of the scientific process, hypothesis formulation, and academic literature. Extensive experience in federated learning and machine learning projects using real-world data is essential, with a preference for expertise in advanced deep learning techniques such as convolutional neural networks and encoder-decoder architectures. Experience in computer vision, NLP, or reinforcement learning projects is advantageous.
Qualities/Skills the Company Hiring is Looking For
Minimum of 3 years of work experience in DL and ML projects
Proficiency in federated learning at scale using PyTorch/TensorFlow
Strong understanding of linear algebra, statistical theory, and classical machine learning
Knowledge of distributed computing and ML
Familiarity with DL techniques like model optimization and transfer learning
Experience in end-to-end data science development cycle
Domain knowledge in IoT Devices, manufacturing, energy, or healthcare sectors
Previous experience in a lead scientist position
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Exposure to SaaS, PAAS software products, and ETL/data engineering architectures
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps/MLOps practices
Desirable skills but not essential
Experience working in one of AWS/GCP/Azure
SQL experience
Docker and Kubernetes experience for deployment
